Well, for any of you who have lived, or do live, in a place where there are seasons, you are probably familiar with “Mud Season.” Often between winter and spring when the snow is melting and all around is MUD. Well, that is not what I am talking about. The Mud Season I am referring to happens every 4 years…Election Years! This time of year the television is full of candidates slinging, what I call mud, at each other. I don’t know about any of you but I am ready for the mud to dry up so I can go back to enjoying the few hours of television that I typically watch. I heard on the news this morning that they have started referring to the campaign adds as bullying. Nice message to kids huh? It is Ok for adults to bully…really??
I wish I had some great statement or remedy to get through this until the election in November, but I don’t, sometimes you just have to wait it out. A friend of mine gave me a plaque years ago that says ” This too shall pass…..NOW would be good!” Isn’t that the truth?
